Footvolley League of Champions – Your Complete FAQ Guide

The Footvolley League of Champions is one of the fastest growing competitive footvolley formats in Europe. Clubs, players and event organizers all come together to form a system that rewards performance, builds community and pushes the sport to the next level.
Here are the most important questions and answers to help you understand how it all works.


Who can participate in the League of Champions?

All players registered in a European footvolley club are eligible to compete.


Is the League of Champions a club competition or a player competition?

It is both. Players earn points for themselves and for their clubs at every event.


How many clubs can I represent per season?

You may represent:

  • Up to two clubs per season in 1000 and 500 tournaments.

  • Unlimited clubs in 100 tournaments.

Important note:

  • In 1000 and 500 tournaments, both team members must represent the same club.

  • In 100 tournaments, players can represent two different clubs within the same team.


Which clubs are allowed to participate?

All European footvolley clubs are welcome to take part in the League of Champions.


Our club or school is not officially registered in our country. Can we still join?

Yes. While official registration is recommended, it is not required for joining the tour. Footvolley clubs, schools and movements can participate even without national registration.


Can our club sign a foreign player?

Yes. Clubs may sign players from other countries.
The only requirement:
At least one player in each tournament team must regularly train and play at the club that is being represented.


I am not a top level player. Can I still participate?

Absolutely. All players are welcome.
Through qualification tournaments, everyone has the chance to compete. Every participant earns a minimum of two ranking points for themselves and for their club.


Can our tournament become part of the League of Champions tour?

Yes. Any European tournament can apply to be included as a 1000, 500 or 100 tournament.


What are the benefits for a tournament that joins the tour?

Tournaments receive a significant boost in visibility, participation and sponsorship opportunities.
The league supports events with:

  • Promotion

  • Livestream and media support

  • Clothing and branding design

  • Registration systems

  • Tournament management tools

  • And more


Does it cost anything for a tournament to join the tour?

No. There are no fees for adding your tournament to the tour.


How do clubs and players qualify for the final?

A total of 16 club teams qualify for the League of Champions Final.

Requirements:

  • Players and clubs must have participated in at least one tour event.

Qualification paths:

  1. Direct Qualification – Winners of a 1000 tournament automatically qualify.

  2. Ranking Qualification – Top clubs in the overall standings secure a spot.

  3. Final Qualification Tournament – An additional qualifying event provides extra chances to join the final.
